Expansion of the Access Without Payment Campaign to Kariobangi South Police Post, Nairobi

Kariobangi is a low-income residential estate in northeastern Nairobi. It consists of both apartments and slum-type dwellings. Kariobangi South itself is home to an exceptionally high population density of roughly 40,286 people per square kilometer, and a total of 100,978 residents based on 2019 census data - the most recent census conducted.

Kariobangi South Police Post serves an area of approximately 2.5 km², bounded by Koma Rock Road, Outer Ring Road, Kangundo Road, and Mowlem to the east. On July 28th, 2026, Kate Riley Foundation expanded the Access Without Payment Campaign to this strategically located police post where we installed our Public Document Dispensers, provided 300 Police Abstracts, and 70 National Police Service Medical Examination Report (P3) forms free of charge, saving members of this community 3000shs and 7000shs respectively. This project does not stop at this initial set up and provision of documents but instead our aim is to continue to provide these documents at no cost.
