Expansion of the Access Without Payment Campaign to Huruma Police Station, Nairobi

Yesterday, July 21st, 2026, we expanded the provision of key Police documents to Huruma Police Station which provides police services to a community of over 100,000 Huruma residents which includes the Huruma informal settlements.

Each P3 form provided by the Kate Riley Foundation saves each community member KES 100 ($0.77) and every Police Abstract saves a member of the community KES 20 ($0.15). For context, Oxfam Kenya's 2025 Inequality Report indicates that, "Nearly half of Kenyans live in extreme poverty, i.e., on less than KES 130 per day."

By providing these documents free of charge, we are no longer asking the less fortunate within our community to choose between access to police services, justice and food on their plate - even if for a single day.
